Régal Theatre was located on Perrault Street near the intersection of Principale Street. This 325-seat theatre was the first to open in Rouyn. Owner Ms. H.S. Carey began its construction in the winter of 1926. Admission was $0.75—a lot of money at the time—and the seats were quite uncomfortable. Despite these inconveniences, audiences regularly attended the theatre.
