The Mining Village of Bourlamaque

Emulating Noranda Mines, Teck-Hughes Gold Mines founded its own town in April 1934. The company built Bourlamaque on the grounds of its Lamaque mine. It controlled its development hoping to avoid the disorder reigning in nearby Val-d’Or.
