Collection of the Canadian Automotive Museum
From Country Life in America, September 1904. Built between 1898 and 1916, Pope-Waverleys distinguished themselves in a couple of ways: they almost always came in a distinctive red-and-black paint scheme; and the company was the first in North America to offer a closed-body electric car.
Transcription of Main Paragraph:
“Isn’t This Scene a Convincing Argument That You Should Own A Pope Waverley Electric that yourself and family may enjoy the beautiful autumn days. They are all the year round automobiles. In spring, summer and winter they are ‘always ready,’ noiseless, clean, simple and safe.”
