The massive Panzerkampfwagen VIII ‘Maus’ (Mouse), on trials in late 1944. Intended as a super-heavy breakthrough vehicle, it was never completed, and the prototype was captured by Soviet forces in 1945. The Maus remains one of the largest and heaviest hybrid-electric vehicles ever developed, and the largest conceived by Ferdinand Porsche.
