The barnyard offered endless opportunities for mischief. One interviewee remembers watching a proud rooster strut and crow around the coop. He looped a rubber seal ring around his legs and watched the rooster fall forward. He was the only one who thought that the rooster’s humiliation was funny and he got into a lot of trouble.
