Illustration of the base of a skull by Pauline Larivière, 1935
Wilder Penfield Fonds, Osler Medical Library, McGill University
This illustration by Pauline Larivière, done in 1935, represents traditional techniques she would have learned in her training as a medical illustrator a few years prior. Throughout this digital exhibition, we will see how she, and other illustrators working in Montreal, skillfully practiced this discipline and developed new and innovative methods to communicate medical research and procedures.
