This meeting was especially significant for Canadian illustrators—and particularly for the women working in Montreal—who had the opportunity to showcase their work and the growing careers they were establishing in one of Canada’s leading medical centres. The program committee included Helen MacArthur, Pauline Larivière, and Eleanor Sweezey, with events held at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Queen Mary Veterans’ Hospital, and the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Helen MacArthur and Pauline Larivière also presented their work, highlighting the talent and leadership emerging among Montreal’s medical illustrators.
