Charron factory, around 1925

The picture shows the Charron Factory, shortly after it was built in 1924. It is a large, four-storey brick building. No street services the area yet. We see only a wooden barn next to the plant.

This is the oldest photo we could find of Albert Charron’s new shoe factory, which will be sold a few years later to William Cook.  The building still exists today, but the landscape has changed dramatically.
