The musicians in the photograph were performing at a traditional sugar party in Cap-Saint-Ignace, not far from Montmagny, in 1957. The band exemplifies the spirit of the region and the accordion’s role in popular celebrations. From left to right: Paul-Henri Morin (caller), Gérard Tremblay (guitar), Marcellin Langlois (violin), Guy Morisette (diatonic accordion), Denis Martin (banjo).
