Gifford Hill was once owned by Lyman Gifford, a former mayor of Oshawa. This iconic green space is located east of the Oshawa Harbour. It was the former location of the Port Oshawa Pioneer Cemetery. In 1975 the cemetery was transferred to city-owned land at Bonnie Brae Point.
