An Even Trade for a G.L.O.S.S. Tee
Photographed by Eliakim Hawi
Juno traded a bottle of wine for this G.L.O.S.S. band shirt in a Montreal metro station. G.L.O.S.S. was an American trans-feminist punk band, the name an acronym for “Girls Living Outside Society’s Shit”. Juno tie-dyed the shirt, cut it up a little bit, and tied the front to make it more her own.
I’ve never seen this band but, of course, I wore a lot of band shirts in my time. So, this was a sweet one to get that felt like it was- it was punk and it was queer and it was transgirl. I love this shirt.
