I Don’t Understand Fashion or Style

Armida sitting in front of a track sewing machine, in interview format.
Armida: I don’t understand fashion really, so my style has never been a style. I grew up a big child, I was always fat, and clothing was never easy to come by in my size. So I needed to just buy things that fit and a lot of the times that meant that it wasn’t always things that I really loved, right?
So, at some point I started sewing for myself and the biggest impetus for that was that I was concerned I was going to have children and they- I wouldn’t be able to find clothes that they loved. So, I wanted to learn how to sew so that I could make them clothing that they were comfortable in, that they were confident in, and that they loved. And I started sewing for myself, as well. So now- I don’t know- I don’t know- I don’t understand fashion or style, so I don’t know what to say about that.
