Bread oven with a shelter
Archives de la Côte-du-Sud, Simone Paradis Collection.
This photograph of daily life in the past was taken at the Paradis family’s home in Saint-Denis-De La Bouteillerie. Baking bread was a regular and necessary task given the many mouths that had to be fed in the family. The oven shown here was protected from the elements by a shingle shelter.
