Recreational fishing was also an opportunity for socialization and relaxation. Women would fish together, sharing enjoyable moments and outdoor fun. They used simple techniques like shore fishing, angling, and sometimes small canoes to fish near the coast. Over time, recreational fishing gained popularity, especially after World War II, when fishing equipment became more accessible.
