Pauline Julien was born on May 23, 1928 in Trois-Rivières and died in Montreal on October 1, 1998. An iconic singer, songwriter and actress, she was a leading figure in Quebec’s sovereigntist and feminist movements.
In the 1950s, like Raymond Lévesque and Félix Leclerc, she learned her trade and first made a name for herself in France. In 1962 in Montreal, she presented her first album entitled Enfin… Pauline Julien.
