Formed in 1959, the group of singer-songwriters Les Bozos, a name taken from a song by Félix Leclerc, included: Jacques Blanchet, Hervé Brousseau, Clémence Desrochers, Jean-Pierre Ferland, André Gagnon, Claude Léveillée and Raymond Lévesque.
That same year, the group opened a boîte à chansons on Crescent Street in Montreal and participated in and supported the strike by Radio-Canada producers.
