DeForest-Corsley: Model 01331 “Elgin” (1931), Owen Sound, Ontario, 40 x 39 x 27cm. Musée des ondes Emile Berliner.
This is a typical “tombstone” or “cathedral” model of the 1930s. The wooden cabinet blends styles, including classical fluting at the sides and horseshoe arches over the grille. The listener might have been reminded of the architecture of a medieval church.
