First World War Dead Commemorated On Cenotaph

Forty-one of the 410 Ladysmith men who served in The Great War are commemorated for giving their lives. Of these, three were locally renowned musicians: Mr. Barron (violinist), Mr. Brown (singer) and Mr. Whitcombe (cornet player and conductor of the Ladysmith City Band).
