The map shows, outlined in brown, the traditional territory of the Stz’uminus First Nation, a Coast Salish Nation which centred on the Ladysmith area of Vancouver Island but extended across the Salish Sea up into the rich salmon fishing grounds of the lower Fraser River on the British Columbian mainland.
