Roman Catholic Church Buildings And Town

Photo: Ladysmith Archives
Date: Circa 1900s
The building in the immediate foreground is the original Roman Catholic church which was transported in sections from where it previously stood in Wellington and was rebuilt in Ladysmith in 1901. It was replaced in 1904 by the second larger church, which was built new onsite. Other buildings in the cluster are the Rectory and the three-story Convent School built onsite in 1909.
