Red Cross Float In A Dominion Day (July 1st) Parade

Patriotic fervour and support for the war effort were very much evident in Ladysmith during the First World War. This parade float, a truck bedecked with Union Jacks and the Canadian Red Ensign flags and loaded with uniformed nurses, highlighted the contribution of the Red Cross.
