Built in Wellington in 1876 and transferred to Ladysmith in 1901, this church was very active until it saw a decreasing congregation associated with the bitter Coal Miners Strike of 1912-1914. It became surplus with the merger of the Presbyterian and Methodist churches in 1925 and was sold to Mr. D. Brown for $300.
Subsequently, it was repurposed as a private dwelling, which it remains today.
