Many of Ladysmith’s downtown buildings date from the early 1900s. Since the 1980s, the Town has worked, mainly through the activity of the Heritage Revitalisation Advisory Committee, to preserve the heritage character of the buildings and to make the downtown core an attractive place to visit and do business.
