Extension Coal Mines Loading Facilities

The background features numerous single and two-storied wooden town buildings at the same level as a steam engine delivering coal-laden mine cars onto an elevated track leading to a covered sorting shed. Beneath this track and shed another track carries sorted coal to a wooden tipple straddling multiple railway tracks beneath which empty coal cars await loading. In the foreground, the Miners Commuter Train features two very basic Pullman-style railway carriages with W C Co (Wellington Colliery Company) stencilled on their sides between the windowless gaps.
