The first services were held in a home on 4th Avenue in 1929. The first church building was a former liquor store located one building south of the corner of Roberts Street and 1st Avenue. About 1938, the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada purchased a building near the corner of Buller Street and First Avenue.
In 1958, the growing congregation moved to a new building on Bayview Avenue; an addition was built in 1978. The current building on 4th Avenue was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day 1992 and houses the tabernacle with adjoining meeting rooms and offices. Songs of praise, accompanied by a band with guitars and drums, feature prominently in their services.
