The Beat Goes On: Ladysmith’s History and Music

This is the story of the community around Ladysmith, Vancouver Island, Canada, reflected through music.

We are on southeastern Vancouver Island, within the traditional territory of the Stz’uminus First Nation, a Hul’qumi’num-speaking Coast Salish people who have lived here for thousands of years harvesting the bounty of the sea.
