Since its creation, the Comité de solidarité Tiers-Monde de Trois-Rivières (Third-World Solidarity Committee) has been fighting against injustice and inequality. For example, the organization campaigned against South African Apartheid. It has also called for disarmament in Canada and the United States, as discussed in this article.
On January 14, 2025, the organization partnered with Communauté partage (a local Catholic organization) and La solidarité de Khalambasse (a Senegalese agricultural cooperative) to launch Club 1%. The initiative was designed to show solidarity with Senegal. An article by Jacynthe Lafrance published in the January 14, 2025, edition of Le Nouvelliste explains that members of the organization remained actively engaged in fighting poverty, homelessness, violence against women and environmental threats.
These efforts reflected a steadfast commitment to the group’s founding mission.
