Rock Against Racism – Associated with anti-racist musical events.
Boycott Grapes – The Delano Grape Strike was a lengthy farmworkers’ struggle in the United States which found widespread support in Canada. A key organizing tactic was encouraging Canadians to boycott U.S. grapes. The farmworkers eventually won recognition for their union.
Operation Solidarity – A coalition of organizations fighting against British Columbia’s austerity policies and anti-union legislation.
Yin and Yang – Both doves and olive branches are symbols of peace and the Yin Yang is a symbol of balance.

ACT! (Against Cruise Testing) – A protest movement against Canada’s willingness to allow the United States to test cruise missiles – potentially destabilizing new weapons systems – in Alberta.
We Can Afford a Better Accord / Un Meilleur Accord, C’est Possible – This slogan, presented in both French and English, marks the ties between the labour movement and the women’s movement.
Save Clayoquot – Movement led by Indigenous groups such as the Nuu-chah-nulth people that protested the clear-cut logging of old-growth forests on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
Amoco – Strike that took place in 1980 when predominantly Franco-Ontarian fabric workers went on strike to demand better working conditions and wages.
