Once the fruit has been picked…

Activity: Musée de la mémoire vivante and École en réseau
We have a lot of fruit!
When we go picking, the atmosphere, the freshness, and the abundance of the fruit excite us. No matter the type of fruit, we always pick a lot.
Back home, the most beautiful fruit is kept to be eaten fresh, of course. A quantity is used to make compotes, jams, jellies, butters, or desserts. Family recipes emerge from drawers. They are handwritten in old notebooks or printed in books passed down by our grandmothers. Sometimes, these recipes are passed down from one generation to the next by word of mouth.
Émilie tells us what she and her father did to use up all the apples they picked.
