You’ll find all the trees you want!
You’re in for a surprise when you consult the Auguste Dupuis archives. An incredible variety and quantity of fruit trees are listed there, including plum, pear, apple and cherry trees from France, Belgium, England, Ukraine, Russia and the Netherlands. Remember that we’re talking about the 1860s. August Dupuis was an avant-garde horticulturist. He began selling by catalogue and shipping items throughout the province of Quebec in 1868.

The different varieties of cherries are not listed in the Dupuis archives, but we know that three were on the market: Early Richmond, Montmorency and May Duke.
