The exhibit entitled Bado: The Francophonie Through Pencil Strokes explores the caricaturist’s work as it relates to Canada’s Francophonie at many different levels. How does the one entrusted with the opinion drawing for francophone Ontario’s major newspaper look at the issues affecting the francophone communities in Ottawa, Ontario and Canada?

Themes such as the matter of the capital’s bilingualism, managing schools for Franco Ontarians, Bill 8, the fight to save the Montfort hospital, the creation of Université de l’Ontario français, the Official Languages Act, not to mention the situation of francophone minorities in Canada, are all topics that this exhibition invites visitors to discover through the pencil stroke of caricaturist Bado.
