An illustration of a veillée on the sleeve of the Fêtes du Vieux-Saint-Eustache theme song record

When a theme song with a folk feel was written for the Fêtes du Vieux Saint-Eustache in 1978, it was published on a 45-RPM record. Illustrator Serge Villeneuve created the sleeve design, taking inspiration from an old-time veillée – a traditional dance party – representing both the spirit of the song and the event itself: a huge, festive get-together highlighting traditional culture.
