Demoted to Moody Middle SchoolBy 1973, the school was converted to a junior high school, as another school called Port Moody Senior Secondary was built to accommodate the growing number of high school students. The junior high school was then renamed Moody Middle School in the late 1990's, and operates as such in 2004.

Port Moody's Schools TodayThe history of Port Moody's Schools reflects the constant growth of this region. Schools were built, rebuilt and renovated, burned and demolished. With the co-operation of the city's neighbours, classes continued even in the face of tragedy.
