Now part of the City of Montréal, the City of Verdun fielded one of Canada’s largest per-capita contingents of volunteers during the First and Second World Wars. While many of Verdun’s citizens served in the military, workers on the home front — men, women and even children — also helped support the war effort. This new exhibition explores Verdun’s fascinating history and its outstanding commitment during two global conflicts.
