Buildings were burned and moved, and people were displaced from their lands and their ways of life. The reservoir created by the Hugh Keenleyside Dam, just north of Castlegar, British Columbia, disrupted life in the Columbia Valley. Stories Beneath the Surface explores the dam’s impact on the people and the landscape.
