A photograph of Dr. Richard Beck, esteemed scholar, translator, editor and professor of Icelandic literature. Beck helped build academic bridges between Iceland and the Icelandic diaspora, particularly through his work at the University of North Dakota and his support of Icelandic studies in Manitoba.
