Many of the men and women at CFS Carp were expected to work shifts over Christmas. One of the bonuses of having to work over the Christmas season was getting to enjoy a holiday feast. Former employees recall Christmas Dinner as being the one time that Senior Officer's were expected to serve dinner to the lower ranks. Morale among employees at the Diefenbunker was high. Christmas dinner was an enjoyable social event.
