The Hudson's Bay Company was responsible for the most changes made to the building when it took it over to make it into a recreation center for its employees from its downtown department store from 1922 to 1925. At this time some of the rooms were enlarged by taking out the walls in order to create "club rooms." After the Hudson's Bay Company was finished with it as a club house, they ceased to be directly involved with the Manor.
