Another popular addition to the festival was a mascot in the form of a 6ft tall mouse. This mouse toured Toronto handing out pamphlets and raising awareness of the festival. He was eventually give the name Lunus by the committee and was also given a partner, Luna, a female mouse of similar size.

The festival ran from 1967 to the late 1980's and brought many visitors and tourists to Ingersoll and the surrounding area. Because of its impact on Ingersoll, the Cheese and Wine Festival has become a lasting part in the cheese making history of the town.
