The church building had been moved to Calhoun. The cemetery located at the original site at Gaytons remained neglected for years. From 1990 to 1993 much work was made to improve the site.

The well attended cemetery is all that remains at Gaytons.

While some of the graves have been identified, many of the graves located in the cemetery remained unmarked as whatever grave markers were used have long since deteriorated.
