A new barn was built at the far end of town for horses, were still an important part of the workforce of the Anglo Newfoundland Development Company.

As with the Lewis Miller town, the managers housing, of which two can be seen in this photo were uptown and the workforce downtown.

Every house moved had a kitchen and pantry was added to the back of the house with a woodshed and outhouse, as seen here, built in the yard.

This aerial photograph taken in 1946 shows the layout of Millertown at the time. With the low water level of the lake, imprints in the sand show the streets and railway bed of the original town site and the Lewis Miller wharf.
