The Green Family Forge flag has an anvil, hammer and a pair of tongs on it. This flag would be flown outside of the forge every day that it was in operation. The original flag is still in existence but a reproduction is now flown on days when the blacksmith is working. This flag would be a signal to all those in town that Mr. Green was working in his forge.41
