Perhaps the most fitting closing comments for this remarkable team are in the words of centre-fielder (1931 to 1939), Gordon Coffey: "To single out any particular player for special mention would be unfair to the others. Each player has been at times a star in his own right and when the boys get together to discuss old times it is not the feats of the individual that are recalled but the success of the team as a whole.
