Monday, Aug. 3,1903. Here they saw four geese coming down the stream. Hubbard grabbed his rifle, and Elson grabbed Wallace's rifle, they shot all four. They threw fits of joy because the need for food was so great.

Tuesday August 4th. Wallace portages from Goose Creek toward mountaineer lake, with a goose hanging from either side which was shot the previous day by Hubbard and Elson.
