Robert Thompson Banting recalls: "Uncle Edward took pride in his arrowhead collection and showed it to me often. In days of feeling adventurous, I would follow behind Uncle Edward pulling the plow in search of arrowheads. I did find one. It was he (and great uncle Howard) who would propel my interest firstly in Archaeology and Geology, of which I finalized in geological engineering."6
We have to pause to honour the memory of the man who made the Banting name famous, Sir Frederick Banting. |
