This scale model was cleverly "reverse engineered." As precise measurements of the old house do not exist, model builder Garnet Madill measured the bricks on the current house (the current house was built using material from the original house). Then, by examining old photographs and counting bricks, he was able to devise the measurements of the original house.

This model will allow us to explore the Banting Homestead property in its farming heyday.
