Many farmers will say that their life now is a little more difficult than that of their father's generation or those that came before. Today's farmer does have the conveniences of modern technology on his side by the means of modern spraying and irrigation equipment, pruning machines, harvesters and tractors to name a few. Despite the advancements and improvements enjoyed by today's farmer, the daily routine is similar to that of earlier generations and weather remains an uncontrollable factor.
