After Living in Northern Ontario for several years, Percy returned to Golden Lake where he served on Council - 1 term, 2 yrs. He was taught the canoe building craft by Daniel Sarazin, started to learn in his 40s, starting in 1974. He also helped build canoes with Stanley Sarazin for the CNE in Toronto, 1972.5
