While not a gunshield or badge, the picture "Lulu Belle" was a much sought after prize in the fleet and crews plotted as to how to "recruit" her to their ship. Press gangs were often sent to other vessels to entice her to jump ship. The success of these ventures can be seen in the number of ship's stamps around the border. Eventually, someone decided to turn a portion of the picture into a discharge book to record her service which according to her medal ribbons, may have included action against the enemy.
