Vinemount and Tweedside long remained rural pockets in Saltfleet, despite increasing urban growth below the escarpment.

Vinemount has partially secumbed to low density suburban development in the last half century, but Tweedside has declined into oblivion.

Save for the remains of the Tweedside Methodist (United) Church on Mud Street, there is very little to see of what was once Saltfleet's southeastern commercial outpost.
